Installation Week
The past few weeks have been VERY busy for our class - researching and writing blurbs about each artwork for our exhibition catalog, designing and distributing all the promotional materials, getting the word out around town about the show, creating a mock-up of the installation, retrieving artworks from all their various spaces around campus, transporting all 56 artworks down the hill to the 410 Project, photographing artworks, sending personal invites to artists, their families, and art lenders, and designing and hand-binding the limited-edition exhibition catalogs!
There is still so much to do - we've got to hang and install all the works, tie up loose ends, bake cookies and cakes, cut up veggies, and roll cheese balls for the reception, yum.
I think we've all discovered that putting on an exhibition is a lot of work, but this class has been heroic in ambition and dedication. We've worked really well together.
Instead of writing a ton of information on these happenings, I'm just going to share a few photographs, highlights of the last two weeks and all that's gone on. Enjoy!
